About Big 6

BIG 6 was created with a simple goal, how can we develop something that would protect the most important part of our lives...our children? Jeff and JC decided to use their extensive knowledge in mliltary experience and construction to develop the most innovative invention that will offer protection in the case of an Active Shooter incident or even in the case of a tornado.

Mrs. Gayle Carson

President and Chief Executive Officer / Partner

  • Maneuver Support Center Safety Office from 2002 to 2006 as a Safety Technician.  Received from the Safety Council of the Ozarks certification as a Certified Safety Technician in March 2003.  Conducted safety inspections of the Army Child Care initiatives and received Certified Child Safety Seat Installer in November 2003. Developed and taught safety training programs for a variety of courses offered at the Installation Level, including courses for Teenage Babysitters, Family Child Care Providers, and the Installation Safety Officer/NCO Course.  Also served as a Range Aide for the Motorcycle Safety Course.
  • Fire Inspector, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO in 2006, conducting comprehensive fire and safety inspections; maintained knowledge of NFPA and OSHA standards as well as applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Safety Technician, US Army Combat Readiness/Safety Center, Ft Rucker, AL in December 2006. Reviewed and analyzed ground and aviation accident reports and related safety information ensuring findings of Department of the Army level recommendations from Centralized Accident Investigations (CAI) and Installation Accident Investigations (IAI) were accurate and conformed to established regulatory standards.  Performs safety duties in support of the Army Safety program in accordance with regulatory guidance to administer the quality control process for accident reports and related Composite Risk Management reports.
  • Member of American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Public Sector Practice Specialty.  Authored numerous articles for Public Sector Practice Specialty newsletter for ASSE.
  • Safety Professional of the Year, 2008-2009, Public Sector Practice Specialty, ASSE.

Mr. JC Brown

Director of Sales and Marketing

  • Graduated Falls College in Architectural Design 1964
  • US Army Vietnam Disabled Veteran
  • Worked as a Military Contractor on Security Projects Until 1979 (Some still Classified)
  • Started his own business in 1979 to design, develop, and sell many security products to US Forces and NATO
  • Sold business to Employees and retired in 2009
  • Continues to design and sell products for security and industry
  • Has over 30 US Patents with registration in US, Canada, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, European Union, and England
  • Currently working on several projects of design and  supply

Mr. Jeff Carson

Director of Products Development

  • Served in the US Navy during Vietnam era with the Naval Security Group
  • Received his BS degree in Law Enforcement, Jacksonville State University in 1977
  • Entered active service in the US Army as Military Police Officer in 1977, retired in 1995. Assignments included:
    •   Installation Physical Security Officer and Traffic Investigation Officer
    •   Test and Evaluation Officer at Cold Regions Test Center
    •   Deputy Provost Marshal
    •   Chief, Combat Systems Branch, Directorate of Combat Developments
  • Obtained his Masters of Arts degree in Business and Organizational Security Management, Webster University, 2001
  • As Senior Security Analyst and Project Leader, worked for Computer Sciences Corporation as contractor support to Directorate of Combat Developments, US Army Military Police School, focusing on the development of new physical security and tactical security products for DoD from 1995 to 2013.
  • Trained, equipped and operational commander for two installation Special Reaction Teams
  • Attended Serious Incident Supervisor Course and Commanders Course on Hostage Negotiations at Northwestern University
  • Member of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International

Mr. John Michael Evans, Jr

Director of Engineering and Installation

  • Native of Spartanburg, S.C.
  • 25 years’ experience General Contractor and Builder
  • Experienced Superintendent (on-site manager) of multiple construction projects
  • Experienced Construction Manager includes solicitation of new business as the company’s representative, estimation and formal bids, and supervision to completion various construction projects
  • South Carolina licensed General Contractor and Residential Builder
  • Full service contractor including design, estimation and construction of both new structures and re-models/ renovations on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
